Performance Analysis of Digital Transmission Facilities: A Structured Approach to Process Improvements

AT&T Bell Laboratories is analyzing the performance of long- haul digital facilities in the AT&T network in order to optimize their performance at the request of the AT&T Network Operations Group (NOG). A structured approach was used to improve the quality of these performance analysis projects. The customer needs were identified and the projects were defined.
