Performance Optimization of BeamForming in TD-LTE-A Systems

In wireless communication systems, MIMO is one of the key techniques. Among several MIMO modes, BeamForming is the most challenge one. As the enhanced version of TD-LTE, TD-LTE-Advanced (TD-LTE-A) supported the multiple antenna transmission in uplink, which can provide more accurate Channel State Information (CSI) for eNB. This paper firstly analyzes how uplink multiple antenna transmission can improve BeamForming weights and downlink SNR, then proposes an optimized link adaptation method in eNB side. At last, simulations show the downlink throughput gain by the optimized TD-LTE-A systems.
