Personalizing XML Text Search in PIMENT

We present PIMENT, that enables the idea that different users may obtain different answers to the same query. PIMENT is composed of two main modules: a profile repository that stores user profiles and a query customizer that rewrites user queries based on user profiles. Both queries and profiles are expressed in XQuery Full-Text, a full-text search extension to XQuery, which enables their interoperability and extensibility. Thus, PIMENT can be used with any partial or complete implementation of XQuery Full-Text.
