The prospect of highly conductive polymer electrolytes has become an important aspect of the development of an all solid state rechargeable battery. This type of electrolyte is especially attractive because of its elastic properties which provide the capability for reduced interfacial contact resistance between electrolyte and anode as well as allow for thin film configurations.
