Photonic microwave filtering using coherently coupled integrated ring resonators

Filtering of microwave signals using coupled photonic ring resonators fabricated in the silica waveguide technology is described. Integrated thermo-optic phase shifters allow for control of the optical phase and the passband shape. Turning of the microwave passband via optical wavelength and phase ts demonstrated.
