Physical Design Workshop Benchmark System
01 January 1988
I am the 'benchmark chairman" of the Physical design Workshop to be held in May, 1989, in Long Beach, CA. The attached represents toy designs I constructed on my own for that Workshop. They include no production or research CAD software -- the tiny amount of software included was written by me taking about 8 hours. It is not related to the IDA, SYSCAD, or any other AT&T CAD systems. The function of the software is to read the benchmarks: it has no commercial value. It parses a new language called 'pdw' for"physical design workshop", and print out "EDIF" for "Electronic Design Interchange Format." EDIF is in the public domain, "pdw" is a throw away language just for this workshop. The benchmark included is just an exclusive or gate and a shift register.
