Raman Spectroscopy at Ultrahigh Pressures
01 January 1988
With the diamond anvil cell, it is now possible to perform Raman measurements on solids up to megabar pressures using micro-laser Raman techniques. In recent years, a variety of solids have been investigated under ultrahigh pressure using Raman scattering. These include fundamental molecular solids such as solid H sub 2 and N sub 2, diamond/zinc blende semiconductors, oxides such as SiO sub 2 Tungstates, molybdates, vanadates and rhenates, and aromatic systems. This paper presents the recent advances on the subject.
