Real-Time Coherent Optical OFDM Receiver at 2.5-GS/s for Receiving a 54-Gb/s Multi-band Signal

Abstract: We demonstrate the real-time implementation of a FPGA-based coherent optical OFDM (CO-OFDM) receiver at 2.5- Gsamples/s, which successfully receives a subband of a 54-Gb/s multi-band CO-OFDM signal with a record-low error floor of 3.7x10-8.
