Reliability Modeling of Fault-Tolerant Communications Networks

Demand for reliable network connection has increased interest in fault-tolerant networks. We are developing methods to evaluate the effectiveness of reconfiguration methods used in fault-tolerant networks. The results of such analysis should identify the main causes of network failure and help network designers select fault-tolerance techniques that can be cost-effectively added to help improve a network's reliability.
