We present a neutron scattering study of Eu(0.54)Sr(0.46)S in magnetic fields H= 60 mT. The Bragg intensity is history- dependent in both the ferromagnetic and spin glass (SG) regimes. The spin fluctuations become history dependent only in the SG regime. The latter effect is very dramatic: Cooling to 0.5K in a 41 mT field and then setting H = 0 results in a magnetic fluctuation length of 70angstroms, well below the zero-field cooled value of 140angstroms.
