Report on validation (EARTH delilverable)

This documents reports the main results obtained in matter of Energy Efficiency through the validation campaign carried out on several innovative solutions developed inside the EARTH project. These solutions have been conceived for LTE radio access technology and entail a network management tool able to switch on and off a single cell of a radio base station on the basis of the number of users inside each cell, a transceiver system for macro-cell radio base station, a transceiver system for small-cell radio base station and a low loss antenna interface system. After a description of the test scenarios that have been set up, a detailed assessment of the obtained results is proposed. The obtained results confirm the expected results in matter of Energy Efficiency and encourage to proceed in this direction.
