Research Directions for Low Energy Access Networks (Invited)

The paper addresses different options for reduction of energy consumption in fixed access networks, studied by the GreenTouch research consortium. A combination of different concepts at network architecture, protocol, system, and component level will lead to an energy efficiency improvement of more than 100x.
