Residential ISDN Services: Information Service Architecture

The residential market is an important area in the development of the ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) products and services. The ISDN-Residential Services (ISDN-RS) are a group of high value service applications that can be accessed through the Basic Interface (BRI). The ISDN-RS information service architecture delineates the offerings of ISDN home Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) systems, ISDN switch and its associated Application Processor (AP), and Intelligent Networks (IN) to the residential users. This paper describes the AT&T 5ESS Switch based residential ISDN information service architecture.
