Review of Book 'Machine Learning of Robot Assembly Plans'

In this book the author sets as his goal the thorough exposition of an AI experiment in Explanation Based Learning in a robot environment. An explicit outline of the goal is given in the Preface. The experiment was conducted at the University of Illinois over a four year period and the book is apparently derived from the Ph.D Thesis. The goal is a challenging one that is not always met by this book.
