A machine for imitating telephone traffic. The calls have no physical character; they are represented by a time meter having its home position. The calls are originated by dice making a haphazard contact in a box. The holding time can have one of a few fixed values. The machine has 6 traffic paths and a max. of 50 switches/path. The number of junctions is limited to 120. Results are given for the traffic capacity of various families of gradings.
