SDN: Bridging the gap between carrier networks and clouds

This slide is the initial draft for a guest lecture at Technical University of Darmstadt. The tutorial material may be further improved before publication. The target audience are students having already some background on SDN from previous lectures. The objective of the presentation is to provide an overview of SDN-related research inside Bell Labs in Stuttgart, e.g., to attract students for internships. The technical content has been published in several papers (ICIN 2012, EWSDN 2013, NOMS 2014, IM 2015), which were all approved for external publication. This slide deck does not disclose significant new ideas beyond those existing publications.
