SDN in LANs: Programming the network to secure IoT Traffic

We live in a world where we will have more and more devices surrounding us collecting Data and proposing us services to ease every moments of our lives. Whether it is for our work, leisure, health, etc., we will interact with smart devices that we either own, or that are proposed/offered to us by third parties as different as friends or smart city providers. However, recent studies have shown that end users are still concerned about the related privacy and security issues this foreseen future is introducing. In this short note, we present a solution relying on SDN benefits to remove remaining barriers for a faster and wider adoption of IoT devices in the home.
