Self-referencing dispersion characterization of multimode structures using direct instantaneous frequency measurement

Abstract: We present a technique for the self-referencing simultaneous characterization of the chromatic dispersion of the modes of a multimode structure. The group delays of the two modes of a high-order mode dispersion-compensating module are accurately measured.
