SSAF - Smooth Spline Approximations to Functions

The problem of approximating a function of one variable arises in diverse fields: the design of electronic circuits, the solution of partial differential equations, the need for a cheap approximation to an expensive function, etc. This talk describes an algorithm for automatically fitting a function to a given tolerance using splines.
