Structural Properties of Metastable alpha -Sn

We report for the first time growth of the highest quality films of Metastable alpha -Sn. The structural properties of the MBE grown metastable alpha -Sn are investigated by means of in-situ RHEED analysis, scanning electron microscopy including electron chanelling patterns, and high resolution X-ray scattering techniques.
