Structure and Properties of Ultrathin Ge-Si Superlattices

We report the synthesis, structural characterization, and preliminary optical studies of ultrathin Ge-Si superlattices with individual sublayers smaller than the Si unit cell, grown by MBE on (001) silicon substrates.
