Study of Multicarrier Offset-QAM for Spectrally Efficient Coherent Optical Communications

Multicarrier Offset QAM is studied as a spectrally efficient modulation scheme for high-speed coherent optical communication systems. Negligible penalties are found with Nyquist signalling in a back-to-back experiment. The scheme can be implemented with low complexity. OCIS codes: 060.4080, 060.4230.
