Study of subband multiplexing at 54 GHz modulation bandwidth for 16QAM and probabilistic shaped 64QAM

We assessed the electriacal subband multiplexed 16QAM and PS-64QAM signals at 54 GHz modulation bandwidth. We showed a 14% and 9% reach gain versus a comparable single carrier system. A detailed subband analysis exhibits up to 40% gain versus single carrier while worse subcarriers suffer from limited system performance due to increased requirements for subband multiplexing.
