Sub-Parsec Clumping in the Nearby Molecular Cloud MBM 12
At a distance of 65 pc, the molecular cloud MBM 12 (=Lynds 1457/8) is the nearest molecular complex known (Magnani, Blitz and Mundy 1985, Ap. J., 295, 402; Hobbs, Blitz and Magnani 1986, Ap. J., 306, L109). Using the Crawford Hill 7m and Arecibo 305m telescopes, we have obtained over 8500 individual molecular and atomic spectra surrounding MBM 12. We present maps showing the distribution of emission from the 110 GHz J=1->0 transition of sup CO and the 1.42 GHz HI line.
