sup 13 C and sup 19 F NMR Chemical Shifts and the Microstructure of Polymers
22 January 1988
Introduction: High resolution NMR spectroscopy of polymers in solution (1) has become the principle experimental means for determining polymer microstructure. The stereoregularity of asymmetric vinyl polymers, the distribution of monomer units in binary and ternary copolymers, the amounts and types of vinyl polymer defect structures produced by other than head-to- tail addition of monomer units, and the presence of chain branching have all been fruitfully studied with high resolution NMR spectroscopy.
