Superconductivity in Ultra Thin Films Near the Metal-Insulator Transition

We have extended our studies of the nature of superconductivity in ultra thin films down to temperatures as low as 50mK. This is accomplished by quench condensing films onto a substrate attached to the mixing chamber of a dilution refrigerator and gives us a substantially larger temperature range than previously.
