Suppression of Inter-Channel Nonlinearities in WDM Coherent PDM-QPSK Systems Using Periodic-Group-Delay Dispersion Compensators

We show that periodic-group-delay (PGD) dispersion compensators can significantly suppress inter-channel nonlinearities in a WDM coherent polarization-division-multiplexed quardrature- phase-shift-keying system and make systems with dispersion management have higher nonlinear tolerance than those with electronic dispersion compensation.
