System impact of fibre repairs on a N×40 Gbit/s all-Raman amplified submarine transmission

The consequences of fibre repairs on the system performance of N×40 Gbit/s submarine links are emulated in a recirculating loop. After adjustment of the cumulated dispersion, no more than 1.5 dB Q-factor penalty is found.
