The velocity matching algorithm (VMA) and the velocity and attitude matching algorithm (VAMA) are used in the take-off alignment of the carrier aircraft inertial navigation system (CAINS), respectively, in this paper. After simulating these two algorithm and analyzing their advantage and disadvantage, the mixed matching scheme (MMS) is proposed in order to overcome their disadvantage. The results of the simulation prove the MMS could eliminate the influence of the error of the external navigation equipment. Its estimation accuracy is not only higher than VMA and MMS, but also excels the performance of the velocity matching algorithm with the feedback correction (VMAFC). Hence, it is possible to select the low-cost navigation equipment as the external navigation sensor in the take-off alignment of the CAINS if using the MMS as the alignment algorithm.
