Temperature and Field Dependence of the Magnetic Penetration Length of c-axis Oriented YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 Films

Screening measurements of the temperature-dependent magnetic penetration length lambda of c-axis oriented thin films of YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 have been made in perpendicular magnetic fields H up to 14T. For H = 0, the temperature dependence of lambda is well described by mean-field weak-coupling BCS theory.
