Test Methods for ISDN U-Interface Transceiver Integrated Circuits

The bit error rate of a transceiver is often limited by the analog front end. Adaptive filter techniques are used to measure the linearity and noise performance of the signal path over a broad spectrum. The effects of finite length test sequences are examined. Pulse mask and frequency mask testing is presented. The requirements and limitations of the production environment are considered.
