Testing Lithium Niobate Boules for Integrated Optic Applications

In order to insure the quality and repeatability of electro- optic devices, it is necessary to be able to characterize the material before processing. We propose two methods of it is necessary to be able to characterize the material before processing. We propose two methods of characterization - a prism coupling experiment and the use of second harmonics.
