The Crystallization Paths of Rapidly Quenched Glasses of High T sub C Superconducting Compositions

Glasses of compositions corresponding to high T sub c superconductors have been made by roller quenching from the melt for the series Bi sub 2 Sr sub 2 Ca sub (x) Cu sub (1-x) O sub (delta), with 1 >= x >= 4, for Pb sub 2 Sr sub 2 YCu sub 3 O sub (delta), and for related compositions, including those with Pb substituting for some of the Bi in the first series and Ca substituting for some of the Y in the second formulation.
