The effect of space charge on the potential and electron paths of electron beams
01 January 1941
Important results of analyses of the effects of space charge in electron streams are collected and presented in the form of curves and nomograms. The effects considered are: space-charge limited current in plane and cylindrical diodes; min. potential; max. current and increase of transit time in the screen-anode region of tetrodes; min. potential, max. current, velocity distribution and divergence of a long flat beam between parallel plates and of a long cylindrical beam in a tube.
