The Electronic Future for Libraries; A Response to a Nation at Risk

Today, I want to talk to you about four different things: the current environment for libraries, a model or structure for looking at and influencing the future, how libraries at Bell Laboratories are responding to a changing environment with the aid of electronic technology, and finally, the challenge that we all face, not only as a response to "A Nation at Risk" and the "Alliance for Excellence", but as a response to a changing environment that's the real crisis for all of us here today.
