The Ferret Document Browser

The Ferret Document Browser is a vehicle for exploring the design and use of broadband document storage and retrieval systems. It provides access to the images of over 15,000 AT&T Bell Laboratories internal documents via the BBFS broadband file server, the HPC interconnect, the LuckyNet broadband network and the Liaison network multimedia workstation. This system allows document browsing at rates up to 20 page images per second.
