The Future X Network: The Future of Information
25 August 2015
We sit on the cusp of a revolution in information driven by the intersection of a massive increase in the sources of data and the ability to augment our intelligence and use critical thinking to turn this data into knowledge. Information can be defined as the communication or reception of knowledge or intelligence; knowledge obtained from investigation, study, or instruction. Consequently, the acquisition of information requires the ability to capture data, compute something based on the entirety of data available and then communicate the resultant insight. These 3Cs are the essential elements that are inherent to the synthesis of information.
