The Push Towards Emission Limit and Test Technique International Harmonization (NOT PUBLISHED)
In the past several years, there has been a concerted effort to harmonize international standards for emission limits and associated measurement techniques. Such harmonization would lessen the burden of meeting different standards in countries targeted fro sales of electronic products. This paper will summarize the work by key national and international standards organizations to achieve a consistent set of emission limits and measurement procedures. The work of the ANSI-accredited Committee C63, International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR), and the FCC staff towards harmonization will be highlighted.
