The residual polarization of coherent orthogonal channels for all-optical networking applications

We demonstrate that the ``residual polarization{''} of two coherent orthogonally polarized channels can be used as an all-optical, bit rate, and format-independent feedback signal to control the two underlying signal polarizations.
