The Rocky Mountain Project-A Metropolitan Area ISDN Overlay Deployment in a Hybrid Public/Private and Central Office Based Centrex/PBX Environment (2-17)

This paper describes how market and technical forces lead to the deployment of a U S WEST ISDN network spanning the metropolitan area of Denver, Colorado USA. The network serves five major locations of a large corporation. Two of the locations are served by U S WEST central office based ISDN Centrex services. Three of the locations are served by ISDN - Primary Rate Interface to modern digital PBX's. The network is hosted by a single AT&T Network Systems 5ESS ISDN Switch using four remote modules providing an ISDN overlay of the analog switches.
