The role of atmospheric chemistry in environment-development interactions.
01 January 1986
The atmosphere of the Earth is increasingly being perturbed by anthropogenic emissions, leading to clearly observable changes in the abundance of several important atmospheric constituents. As more of the Earth is developed and as the population increases over the next century, these perturbations will increase and may become severe. In this review we describe the chemical processes of the atmosphere and discuss the principal sources of atmospheric trace constituents.
