The Shape Parameter of Two-Variable Graph

In this paper, the shape parameter and its effects on the visual decoding of slope information are studied through theoretical, experimental, empirical, and historical investigations. These investigations lead to a method for choosing the shape that maximizes the resolution and accuracy of slope judgments.
