The stabilization of UV curable butadienes.
01 January 1986
The influence of stabilizers on the thermal oxidative degradation of UV curable butadiene acrylates was investigated. Several hindered phenols and hindered amines were identified which survive the UV curing process and protect a polybutadiene diacrylate coating. The stabilizers behaved as typical antioxidants either by delaying the onset of oxidation of the coatings or by suppressing the rate at which oxidation occurred.
