The Theory and Design of Broadband Doherty RF Power Amplifier

Firstly this paper derives the key design parameter based on the basic principle of Doherty RFPA. Secondly we relate it to the signal waveform PAPR, the power ratio between the main device and peak device of the Doherty RFPA and the impedance of the matched network. According to the physical meaning and the studying of the factors which influence the working bandwidth of the classic Doherty RFPA, the author explores a method to improve the working bandwidth of classic Doherty PA and verify this theory and method in practical project.
