The toll board installation City of Rio de Janeiro, Federal District, Brazil

This article describes the long-distance telephone plant in the central part of Brazil with special reference to the toll board in Rio de Janeiro. The toll office is laid out for a total of 220 positions. The office contains toll rotary switching equipment, a 10 000-line 7-A1 office and a 10 000-line 7-A2 office. The automatic toll recording distributor system is fully described.
