The Value of Information: Finding New Chemicals Used in Manufacturing

The value of information can be shown in several ways. These include giving specific examples of how information is used efficiently in an organization, by doing a broadly-based return-on-investment analysis, or by doing a comparison of the time saved by using different information gathering means. Using the example of finding new chemicals in an electronics industrial process, the value of information using computerized databases and a systematic thought process can be demonstrated.
