Theory of a distributed gate current model for SDHTs.

A gate current model has been developed for SDHTs that accounts for the distributed nature of the gate current. This model predicts a gate current that is, to the first order, independent of gate length. This is in contrast to the conventional 'two- diode' gate current model, which assumes the gate current to be directly proportional to the gate length.
