Thesis abstract: A Linguistic Approach to Automatic Programming

Two subfield of artificial intelligence which have had very little interaction in the past are natural language processing and automatic programming. This thesis will be an attempt to treat automatic programming as a language generation task, and to utilize the tools developed for natural language generation in that task.
