Transmission of 4-D Modulation Formats at 28-Gbaud

Transmission of OPT16, a format with the same spectral efficiency as PM-QPSK, was experimentally analyzed at 28-Gbd. Decision aided equalizer and phase estimation adaptation enabled detection of OPT16, POLQAM, and PM-QPSK with unchanged algorithm.
