Transmit Filter Optimization for Improved Performance of Time-Frequency Packing System

The performance of time-frequency packing system is improved with an optimization of transmit filter. 0.2 dB gain in OSNR penalty and 4.5% increase in reach is experimentally demonstrated at spectral efficiency of 6.98 bits/s/Hz at the same system complexity.
